SOUTH AFRICAN GRAND MASTERS 2021 Newsletter No 1_25052021
WELCOME
I wish from the outset, to convey my wishes of good health and implementation of sustainable COVID-19 Practices and Protocols to all the members of the Grand Master Hockey fraternity, their families, friends and loved ones.
The COVID pandemic has caused havoc in our personal and sporting lives and continues to do so.
Thank You to all of those who have persisted with your hockey enthusiasm both on and off the field and of not forgetting the banter and messages via social media (WhatsApp).
STAY SAFE
Your committee have deemed it appropriate to provide you with the latest information regarding Grand Masters HOCKEY 2021 and specifically the plans and preparations for GRAND MASTER WORLD CUP 2022 (Cape Town and Tokyo Venues ).
We will at all times endeavour to reflect and communicate transparency and communicate relevant issues regarding hockey developments within WMH, SAHMHA, SAHA and SAGMHA pertaining to proposed constitution amendments, hockey rules, finances, tournaments, trials and selection criteria.
Whereas this newsletter refers to grand masters (will be changed to “masters” in future correspondence and in the SAGMHA constitution), WMH only recognises the term “masters”.
Correspondence from WHM will therefore always refer to masters and not grand masters, the masters age group will be the only differentiator.
