Attached hereto, please find a copy of our first SGGMHA Newsletter for 2024,

form.

Please review each document and ensure compliance in all respects so that we
can more easily provide you with a quality tournament.

WPGMHA November updates – MOU, Meeting and IPT 2024

There are 3 items of news.

1. MOU

Dear WPGM Members please find attached the signed Memorandum of understanding that has been put forward by the sub-committee in charge of producing it. It is now signed, and it is available for you to request amendments or approve. In the new year we will have a meeting to finalise any amendments and then the members can approve the MOU. Contact the committee to get a copy.

2. Meeting about on the park issues.

Some members have approached the committee about problems on the park. We want to fix these problems. Hence, we request you to attend a meeting next week on November 30, 2023. The meeting will happen after the last game on Thursday the 30th at 8:45 PM. We hope the meeting will be short. If you have something to say, please keep it short and to the point.

Let’s solve these problems and make sure we all have fun playing Grand Masters.

3. IPT availability for March 2024

We are required to submit the number of teams that will be going to IPT 21-24 March 2024. Please complete form available via the button to help us determine the number of teams we will be sending.

WPGMHA – IPT Practice Session & Matches Update – 8 Feb 2023

Dear fellow members.

IPT Build up

The build up to the IPT in March will continue this weekend with practice sessions on Sunday
mornings for the next five weeks (finishes 12 March). We have managed to move one practice
group to WPCC for an early morning start. Consult the table below for team times and venue
updates. Please note, there will be no physio nor umpires at the venues. Warm-ups / downs can be
done on the grassed area behind the dugout. First aid kits will be available at each venue
(Conberg – Noreen and WPCC – Vinni).

IPT Team matches

The IPT team matches will commence on Thursday evenings, starting on 16th February 2023
for the next four weeks. A physio and umpires will be in attendance at WPCC. Only umpires
will be in attendance at Hartleyvale. The teams, venues and times will shuffle to allow for
teams to play different opposition. Below is the first round of matches for the 16th February.

Costs

The cost for the trials, practice sessions and matches has been adjusted from R 560-00 to
R 380-00 per member.

Please find below an update re practice sessions.

In summary:

  1. Thanks to the selection committee.
  2. Practice sessions start this Sunday at Conberg Astro in Children’s Way Bergvliet
    • Men’s 65 & 70/75 – 8am – 9:15am
    • Men’s 60 White and 55 White – 9:15 am – 10:30 am
    • Men’s 60 Blue and 55 Blue – 10:30 am – 11:45 am
  3. Do you want to put up banners at the fields at IPT? Get your name out there! Then contact me (secretary@wpgm.co.za). Money raised will go towards the budget for the whole event.

Note: The pub at Conberg will be open from 11am.
